Well. We WERE supposed to leave here yesterday BUT friends that we chat to on Aussie Baby Boomers [ABB] have virtually been following us since SA so we decided to dwell a little longer as they will be here tomorrow. They are having such a long drive -
not - from Bendigo....... :DWhat have we been up to????
Wednesday we went to the Moama Sports Club and met with our new friends Ken and Lyn and Marj for lunch. 3 hours whizzed past ")

?flowering plums in the 'being developed' Botanic Gardens near the Sports Club
Thursday we went for a walk up the main street of Moama - not a very long street - but we did it anyway :)

lovely old tree at Moama with ?moss ?lichen

grain train going through at 10.30 am Mon - Fri :) Can you see it????? just under the blue steet signs :P
Friday was not a good day for me. Spins and nausea and lethargy until well after lunch and then we just spent time around the van.
Whilst we have been in Echuca the river has risen just on 2 metres.

River on the day we arrived

River on Sunday fromt he Moama Wharf

River yesterday - the bank on the other side has almost gone!!!

Billabong Sunday - see the log in middle to left? looks a bit like a lizard

It is there but - hmm can't quite see it now!!!! yesterday

water coming from river on left to billabong on right :D yesterday

1 step down to the water yesterday - on Sunday there were 9 steps down to the water
Today ---- was MUCH Better...... thankfully......
We went across to Echuca and walked along the wharf area. Got a metal spike to put in the ground to hold our wine glassess and the bottle for happy hour or just whenever..... :)

quaint old house - turned out to be the first BROTHEL in Victoria hehehehe

?Magnolia flower

Purple flower - can you find the bee??? It IS there.....

Campaspe River about 700 metres from the Murray and behind most of the shops of Echuca

Currently the Uniting Church but was originally the St Andrews Presbyterian Church.
We had lunch and then wandered the streets before ambling back to the car and back to the van.
We then sat outside enjoying the lovely sunny weather.
This morning the water was flowing into the billabong beside the van park and this afternoon it looks like it may be starting to drop. [sorry forgot to take the camera]
We will now leave here on Tuesday morning and make the terribly long journey to Deniliquin. Why???
Never been there :) :P
And that is the best way to do it... If you havent been somewhere, go there! So glad you are still having a great time!
