The rest of us went for a drive to Lake Cargellico via Euabalong. Unfortunately the main road to Euabalong was still closed due to flood waters. So we had a detour around on the dirt road.
The lake is currently 110% full. There were lots of skiers and other water craft on the water.
The view from Deadman's Point looking toward one of the islands in the lake. The lake holds 36,000 megalitres.
View from the lookout near town.
We had a lovely day and went for a quiet stroll up the main street and looked at photos of the lake taken in January 2010. A vast difference.
We then went back to the waterfront and had afternoon coffee in the shade before heading home.
We saw a herd of Emu's near the swamp and a couple of shingle-back lizards crossing the roads.
We all got terribly sunburnt - even though we used sunscreen and kept to the shaded areas.
Tuesday saw us travel out to the geographical Centre of NSW - 49km from the town of Tottenham.
Wednesday we went into the town of Condobolin and got some things for Mum Menz for her birthday and then headed home for lunch. Lyn, Jenny and Kayla left for home at about 3pm.
