Christmas Morning 2010

Last night Peter, Pauline and her boyfriend Peter arrived at about 10pm,  This morning we watied for Ken and Stuart to arrive before we delved into the opening of presents.  Ian was Santa's Helper and he distributed all the gifts.
There were lots of presents under the tree.

We were even joined by the two dogs - Rosey and Daisy and then Nibbles the Kangaroo joined in as well.
Nibbles is an orphan following a 'road-kill' situation. She had a broken tail, dislocated tendon in her right leg/ankle and abrasions.  Wendy, Ian and Holly have been caring for her for the past couple of months and she will be weaned when she is about 14 months old.  The vets says she is about 10 months old now. Her tail has healed, Her right leg is not as flexible as the left but she is thriving.  She is so soft to touch.

We all gathered around the lounge room (15 of us - Wendy, Ian, Holly, Jenny, Peter, Pauline, Peter, Kayla, Lyn, Ken, Stuart, Meghan, Jaden, Darryl and I) to share the joy of receiving our gifts.
There was lots of wrapping paper all over the floor once we had finished.

We then all adjourned to the verandah for a lovely lunch of roast pork, roast beef, ham, chicken and lots of lovely salads.  A few of the ales were consumed along with bottles of Moscato.
After lundh all the 'oldies' went and had a nanna nap and then the younger one and few of the oldies had a water fight and then there was a game of  backyard cricket which went until 8.30pm and ended with our batter - Jenny - retiring injured after skidding along the ground on her left side.
The older neices and nephew adjourned to the screen tent in the backyard to imbibe of cruisers and JB cans.
