Today we left home early and went for a day trip to the Condamine River between Boonah and Kllarney - Along the Qld / NSW border.
Matt was the tour leader :) and took us right down the Mt Lindesay Highway to Woodenbong, then along the Mt Lindesay Road almost to Killarney and then along Brosons road to the river. There are 14 river crossings to be made along the way.
We travelled about half way along the road when we stopped for lunch. BBQ sausages and bread rolls.
The three children went in for a dip. We had several small showers of rain whilst there but that didn't deter us.
As you can see, we were in the very UPPER reaches of the Condamine. The kids managed to stay in the water for about 3/4 hour before the shivering chin made it's appearance. :)
We had a great day with the family.
Looks like that was a great trip!!
ReplyDeleteHad a good time and the children loved getting in the river.
