almost 8 weeks post-operative :D

Hi all,
Went to the surgeon again last Wednesday and the good news was that the discharge was almost gone. :D
He removed a length of suture and the knot - thinking that that could be the culprit of the infection.  I am glad to report that I have had NO discharge or temperatures since Saturday morning - so it looks like the suture and knot WERE the offending material.  for some reason my immune system did not dissolve it like it should have.  So fingers crossed that all is now good.
On the home front - upstairs has been painted and did NOT get rid of all the odour from the toilet BUT it is much more tolerable.  Have had to have a new pump put into the washing machine as the old one DIED on Friday - half way through a cycle.  The machine was two months out of its extended warranty :C  Something is wrong with the sliding door upstairs (Could be rollers, could be running strip, could be a number of things :C ) so we are waiting on the service man to come look at it as we have already replaced the bits that we think are causing the problem.

Ben came round on Sunday and helped Darryl move our bigger furniture back up the stairs and we are now in the 'big house' upstairs.  Lots of room up here :D

We had the pleasure of the company of our dear friends - Ray and Christine from Townsville - from Tuesday to Sunday.  Was so good to have them here and we look forward to seeing them again soon - hopefully.

I have slowly been going through my Family Tree papers and checking that it is all on the computer.  Mind you - all the additional data is starting to slow the poor thing down :D

The van has to go in for its service on the 10th April and then we will be getting it ready to go and camp with some friends in May.  Looking forward to that as have been given the all-clear from the surgeon.

Having a Tupperware demo tomorrow to help out a friend and will see how we go.
