Recovery time 24/2/2015

Hi all,
The recovery is going REALLY well.  My incisions are ALMOST healed and the bruising ALMOST all gone.  2 1/2 weeks - so not bad.  The bruising on my hand from the cannula is finally gone but the site is still a little tender.
Unfortunately the side-effect of my surgery is extreme flushes (sweat rolling down the neck, type flushes) BUT if that is all - then I am good.
My sexy white stocking were taken off last Thursday, washed and put away.  It is so much cooler without them on BUT at least they prevented any DVT's.
Am now able to carry a little more than two telephone books - but promise I am being good and not overdoing it.
We had our friends Emily and Simon over Saturday week ago and Simon taught us all [Darryl, Ben and I] how to use Darryl's chainsaw correctly and then he helped Darryl and Ben cut down the foliage along the eastern side of the house.
We managed to order a 3 cubic metre skip on Monday, delivered Tuesday and then we sent it back nice and full on Wednesday.  Darryl did all the lugging and lifting and I just stood (and sat to rest more than not) and clipped all the leafage off and then Darryl cut up the heavier limb bits and stacked it in the bin.  Darryl was really concerned that the waste wouldn't fit, but with cutting and juggling he managed to get it in.   We got the bin taken away just as the rains began because of the low system around Brisbane, as TC Marcia was bearing down from the north.  So a good outcome.  The side looks very bear at the moment but we know that the plants there will re-shoot easily - so won't be long before the Geisha Girl, Lillypilly and cordylines are greening up again.
We have much more to do but will wait a little longer so we can get the funds for another skip.

I have been managing to keep myself out of trouble by doing some computer work, compiling data for the Tax man, doing some basket weaving which has been interesting.  Learning a new craft on your own can be a bit overwhelming, but I hope to meet with a group of women this week who may be able to provide guidance, or point me in the right direction.

I have still got data to enter into the family tree file - so will get to that.  I have had a couple of days where my IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) has been giving me grief (have yet to work out what is sparking it) and my Meniere's has been sending me into some terrible spins with hearing loss and terrible nausea.  The fun of having 'invisible' illnesses.

Friday 13th we had a lovely afternoon over at our dear friend Sue's house.  Always great to see her and spend time together.  On the 24th we had a visit from our friends Vicki and Ross and was good to see them and they gave us a little gift for the caravan.

25th was not a good day - Meniere's-wise and it laid me up all of the morning.  I am 'ok' now - just some hearing deficit in the right ear and the residual Brain-fog.
We have been having some late night showers of rain and it is keeping the gards looking nice but the grass is going berserk - so looks like Daz may have to get out there tomorrow and give it a hair-cut. :D
