Well today started out beautiful weather, and the breakfast cooked for us by the Lions club was lovely.
Unfortunately Darryl's back is still not right and his knees were terribly sore today.
Having to climb in and out of the van was not helping. At lunch time I approached one of the organising committee and requested a change of site. This particular member said "I can understand your request and that shouldn't be a problem - but i have to talk with the prime organiser". The prime organiser said "I will have to access the situation and let you know". Within 15 mins he came down and walked to the rear of the van and then went up to the park office and then returned to Darryl.
The main man returned and told us to move to site 251 - the chap next door helped us get everything into the van - thank you Syd - and then we moved the van.
Well - there were 8 sites available in the 'dog friendly' area and some were much flatter than others. Hmm the new site is up on the drivers side and I had to dig a 40cm deep hole for that tyre to fit into so that the van was level BUT now the step only comes to below my knee and Darryl doesn't have to climb as high to get in. YAY!!! Thank you.
We are now in the main 'dog friendly' area but all of us are still segregated from the rest of the Muster. At least at Happy hour our four-legged friends can join us around the campfire :)
Apparently there are charades on tonight but we will stay in the van and treat Darryl's back with the T.E.N.S. machine.
Doesnt sound like much fun... thinking of you both! HOpe you get better soon Dad!
