Hutt River Province and coast to Kalbarri

We were up reasonably early this morning after listening to the rain most of the night.  This morning there is sunshine so the washing got done. :)  We then headed out of town with our friends Faye and Arthur and went to the Hutt River Province and met Prince Leonard and he showed us around his property and explained all about why he seceded from Australia in 1970.

He is a very interesting man and a very intelligent man also.  Was great meeting him.
We took many photos of more flowers today and even got to see a Kangaroo paw flower.  These are only just starting to bloom.

On the way back to town we stopped at some of the coastal lookouts and they were magnificient.  We even got to watch some whales playing about 300 metres out from the cliffs.

We returned back to the van for afternoon tea and then said farewell to Faye and Arthur.  They are going to Geraldton in the morning but we will only be stopping in so Darryl can have his INR done and then heading to Dongara.  We hope to see the memorial to the HMAS Sydney II whilst in Geraldton - it is supposed to be spectacular.
