Hi All,
Well we started our trip last wednesday morning. We wanted to get away nice and early, but because my pills were muddled a little we had to wait for the chemist to sort it out. Not a problem - just meant that we left later.
Left Capalaba at 10am and down the highway we went.
Stopped just over into NSW to have lunch and then continued on to Grafton, where we spent two nights with Mandy, Peter, Jared and Alyssa and their two dogs Penny and Bella.
From there we travelled to Port Macquarie and we had three nights and two lovely days with Aunty Kath and Uncle Max. The weather wasn't the best BUT the company was fantastic. buster had a great time keeping the wandering cats out of the yard at night and got Aunty Kath and Uncle Max under his spell :)
Yesterda y we travelled to Taree and settled into the Dawson River Van Park. We got Buster organised and got the van sorted.
Unfortunately - even though we had the van hooked up to power at Uncle Max's - we lost all our frozen meat and some of the vegetables. Why??? Well it seems that the rather awkward angle that the van was parked on meant that the fridge did not work and by being parked for three nights - it all defrosted. LESSON LEARNT!!!!
Today we have spent the day with Darryl's family - Nev, Shirl, Amanda, Ally, John, Kiarna, Sam and Nathan.
Buster enjoyed the extra space to roam in and Darryl had an opportunity to go through the family photos trying to find school photos from Broken Hill. Unfortunately we did not find many of the PCYC there. Darryl and Nev think that they may be on the slides of dad's but we didn't bring the slide scanner with us this trip - so will organise that for our next trip.
Hoping you are all keeping well.
Barb
