Friday dawned overcast and rainy. By the time we were to go to the Service it was torrential rain.
We all got soaked on the short walk to the Chapel. We think Mum was up there telling us something......
The service went well. Afterwards everyone gathered at the refeshment rooms for a 'wake'. Everyone appreciated the time to reminisce and most were on their way home after about 5pm. We wished all a safe journey.
A very emotional week for all concerned.
Sorry Barb, I thought I had commented on this post, must have been the facebook one, I am sorry the weather was so lousy for the funeral, a very sad time for all, makes it feel as tho heaven is crying too.......I hope by now you are both feeling a little lighter in spirit, lots of love to you both xxxx
